The Nepal Premier League is Nepal's franchise Twenty20 competition, run under the Cricket Association of Nepal. City based franchises field Nepali internationals, domestic players and overseas signings, which makes it the biggest domestic cricket event of the Nepali season.

Eight franchises contest the league. Lumbini Lions, Janakpur Bolts, Sudurpaschim Royals, Chitwan Rhinos, Biratnagar Kings, Kathmandu Gorkhas, Pokhara Avengers and Karnali Yaks. Janakpur Bolts won the inaugural 2024 season and Lumbini Lions took the 2025 title, so no side has retained it yet.
At the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, which is Nepal's main international venue. Permanent floodlights were installed there in November 2025, so the league now runs day and night fixtures.
Yes. Nepal is an associate member of the ICC and holds both One Day International and Twenty20 International status, so its results count in the official records. We follow series, qualifiers and World Cup campaigns for the men's and women's teams.
The Prime Minister Cup is Nepal's national one day tournament, run by the Cricket Association of Nepal with provincial and departmental sides. It is where a lot of players are first noticed, before they reach the NPL or the national team.
